Overview:
Gryhmz is my online personality. Outside of the internet, I am a man of many names and expectations. Academically, I am a university student working towards a bachelor's degree in American History, hoping to continue my education in the law. In terms of family, I am a son (of both my parents and God), grandson, brother, fiancé, and father (to two cats).
Hobbies and Interests:
My interests include studying history, playing (and sometimes achievement hunting) video games, reading historical and philosophical literature, rating and appreciating music, taking photos, and traveling out in nature. I love playing with older technology from my earlier years as well as working with non-mainstream software.
Favorite Video Games:
My favorite video games are Minecraft, Hearts of Iron IV, Tomodachi Life, and Pokémon. More specifically, I am a huge fan of Pokémon B/W, B2/W2, X/Y, and OR/AS. The vast majority of my time on video games has been dedicated to the Pokémon series, with my most played being Alpha Sapphire with ~600 hours.
My favorite video game consoles outside of the PC are the Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS. I grew up with these two consoles the most throughout my childhood, and I have continued to play on both consoles.
Favorite Movies:
My favorite movies consist of American Psycho, Mamma Mia!, Phantom and the Opera (specifically the 2005 vers.), Grave of the Fireflies, and Borat. Many of these were films from my childhood, and I'm not a big fan of watching movies outside of what I watched when I was younger.
Favorite Television Shows:
House M.D. and The Good Place are the only two shows that I have enjoyed recently. I cannot think of any other shows that I have found to be decent all the way through except these to, but just like my film list, I have no interest in watching television. I am always open to suggestions on both!
Favorite Music:
Out of all the things I could talk about on here, this is by far my most expansive interest. I am devout fan of a variety of musical genres, such as (but not limited to), jazz, rock, nu-metal, neo-classical, electronic, and pop. Within these genres there are dozens of artists I enjoy, such as Stelvio Cipriani, System of a Down, Electric Light Orchestra, Ween, Three Doors Down, Piero Umiliani, Röyksopp, Deftones, and Live.
Additionally, I am interested in collecting and making CDs. I also love looking at album covers, and I have written a couple of academic papers on different artists and musical movements.
When I have a ton of time on my hands, I also enjoy rating and reviewing albums on website like RateYourMusic and AlbumOfTheYear.
